The system is applicable to the control of washing machines 1 which comprise a frame 2 in which are installed a washing vessel 3 and a drum 4, the latter actuated by a motor 5, an assembly suspended by means of upper springs 6 and secured at the bottom by means of dampers 7 to corresponding supports 8. The sensor system is located in planar recesses 10 of a straight portion of the stem 11 of the springs 6 in order to allow the gluing of extensometer gauges 9 both in the longitudinal and in the transverse direction, and complementarily said system is also located in the vertical wall 12 of the supports 8 where the extensometer gauges 15 detect the bending moment acting on the aforesaid vertical wall 12 of such supports. <IMAGE>
