PURPOSE:To catch polluted air around a peripheral edge part of a top plate of a table body to clean air by a method wherein an air suction port is pieced in the top plate of the table body, a flat plate the area of which is larger than that of the air suction port and smaller than that of the top plate is fixed in parallel with the top plate, and a flange plate which extends and projects slantwise and downward is provided on the periphery of the flat plate. CONSTITUTION:A flat plate 7, shaped in a disc and having a prescribed area S2 and a prescribed diameter R2, is fixed to a suction port 6 of a top plate 2 cocentrically through a support 12 and provided integrally on the periphery with a flange plate 7a which extends slantwise in the peripheral direction of the top plate 2. A net 13 is stretched in a cylinder around the support 12 to prevent entrance of any matter into the suction port 6. Thus, as outside air suctioned by an air suctioning fan 9 passes between the top plate and flange plate and also between the flat plate and flange plate, equal velocity lines having an effective catching velocity spread wide in a direction horizontal with respect to a surface of the top plate and polluted air in the peripheral part of the top plate and in its vicinity can be suctioned immediately and effectively, whereby the polluted air is prevented from scattering. |
