<p>PURPOSE:To attain the use of an input/output device with no reliance on an operating system OS of a computer system by simulating the operations of the input/output controllers of different control systems at a machine instruction level. CONSTITUTION:A status conversion processing part 22 reads the command end status (state information) of an input/output controller 3 into an end status part 83 and converts the status into the status information on a target computer 4 to store them in a drive status register and a status register of a register area 81 and then to inform a virtual input/output control part 1 of these status information. Based on the received information, the part 1 produces an interruption to a control program 1. The program 1 applies a read access to the part 1 in order to start a command conversion processing part 21. The part 21 transfers the value of the drive status register of the area 81 or the value of the status register to a register part 11. Thus the controller 3 is used with no reliance on an OS.</p> |
