A vertical fall zone (F) is enclosed by a housing (2) which has an elastomer hose (7) stretched between two pairs of annular flanges (6a, 8a; 6b, 8b) surrounded by four conical closure elements (10) offset from one another by 90 deg. Each closure element (10) is displaced by a pneumatic piston/cylinder device (11, 12) into cooperation with a central element (13) within the fall zone. Pref. each closure element and the central element is made of rubber material. ADVANTAGE - Uncomplicated precision dosing.
