The invention relates to a floor drain, in which a mat 6 is fixed on the inner surface of the side wall 2 of the drain by means of a locking ring 7, which presses the mat 6 against the side wall. For fixing the locking ring in place the side wall 2 of the drain is provided with a sealing ring 10, which produces a fold 9 in the mat above the locking ring 7. The locking ring can be securely locked in place in that its outer surface is provided with a depression 14, by means of which a partial fold 16 can be formed in the mat 6. <IMAGE>
