PURPOSE:To ensure accurate thermometry without looking at a watch, by adding a means that measures and displays the time of thermometry to an electronic clinical thermometer. CONSTITUTION:When a sensor part 1 detects the bodily temperature, the voltage corresponding to the bodily temperature is caused across a resistor by the current flowing through a heat-sensitive resistor 1a. This output voltage is supplied to a converter 4 via an amplifying part 2 and an A/D converter 3 and converted into the signals for display of 7 segments to be displayed at a bodily temperature display part 10. On the other hand, a switch 5 is closed when the thermometry is started, and the time of thermometry is measured by a timer 6. At a display part 11, a display device (a) glows in 40 seconds after the start of thermometry, and display devices (b) and (c) glow after 5 minutes and 10 minutes respectively. In such way, accurate thermometry is possible without looking at a watch. |
