A water survival device of the inflatable life-raft type comprises a life-raft (1) packed in a container (2) incorporating a first watertight compartment (4) and a second watertight compartment (5). Said watertight compartments are separated by a watertight partition (6) and are formed from an upper enclosure (7) and a lower enclosure (8) respectively, said enclosures being mounted on the said watertight partition. The first watertight compartment houses the inflatable life-raft, and the second watertight compartment houses the survival kit. The technical field to which the invention relates is life-raft design.
