PURPOSE:To suck and remove toner and powdery dust which are left unwiped off and float in an electrifier by increasing the speed of air flow synchronously with the operation of automatic cleaning of an electrifying means. CONSTITUTION:When the cleaning time of an electrifier 6 is decided in accordance with a program preliminarily set to a control circuit of a device main body, a shutter 55 is closed. As the result, the speed of air flow from the vicinity of the electrifier 6 is increased and is fixed after a prescribed time. When the prescribed time elapses after the shutter 55 is closed, automatic cleaning of the electrifier 6 is started. When a prescribed time elapses after the end of automatic cleaning of the electrifier 6, the shutter 55 is turned to open an aperture part 32a of an air duct 32. Thus, the speed of air flow is reduced to the initial state. |
