PURPOSE:To improve the productivity of metal magnetic granular powder by heat-treating fusiform hematite particles coating-treated with metallic compound under non-reducing atmosphere at the specific temp. and heat-reducing under reducing gas. CONSTITUTION:Fusiform goethite particles are produced by adding zinc compound into suspension containing FeCO3. The above particles or the fusiform hematite particles obtd. by heat-dehydrating this, are coating-treated with one or more kinds of metallic compounds selected among Ni, Al, Si, P, Co, Mg, B and Zn. Successively, the fusiform hematite particles obtd. by heat-treating the particles under the non-reducing atmosphere at 300-800 deg.C, are heat-reduced under the reducing gas to obtain the metal magnetic particles having the fusiform and the iron as the essential component. By this method, the metal magnetic granular powder having the large axial ratio of fusiform and the iron as the component can be obtd. as profitable to industry and economy. |
