<p>PURPOSE:To enable the preventing of increase in erroneous alarms by providing a automatically threshold coefficient setting circuit to set the optimum threshold coefficient while a threshold conversion circuit and a mean calculation circuit are added to suppress clutters. CONSTITUTION:A threshold conversion circuit 5 converts a geometry of a threshold into a Weibull distribution function having a geometry parameter determined from a distribution calculating circuit 4. A mean calculating circuit 6 calculates a moving mean in a distance way. Then, an automatically threshold coefficient setting circuit 7 calculates and sets the optimum threshold coefficient automatically based on inputs from the circuits 5 and 6 to be supplied to a constant erroneous alarm probability circuit 8. The circuit 8 compares a threshold calculated based on an output of a pulse Doppler filter 3, the moving means in the distance way and a geometry parameter of a clutter with a threshold level signal multiplied by a threshold coefficient and a signal beyond the threshold level is regarded as target to detect the number of targets separated from the clutters. This enables adaptation to the clutters even when the clutters show the Weibull distribution function thereby preventing increase in erroneous alarms.</p> |
