The corrugated rib units are positioned between successively arranged flat pipes, with the crests of their corrugations locating on the flat sides of the pipes. Fixture nose-type formations (7) are provided for the corrugated ribs which extend over the corrugation crests in the longitudinal direction of the flat pipes (3). They are fitted in the region of the face sides of the corrugations perpendicualr to the longitudinal direction of the flat pipes. The fixture nose-formations are formed as tabs which are limited by inserts stamped into the vertex area of the crests of the corrugated ribs, and engage in the seams of the flat pipes. USE - As a water or oil cooler in a motor vehicle.
