PURPOSE:To maintain the surface height of an image element array constant by using anisotropically conductive adhesive by moving a conveyor from a reference surface at a predetermined stroke, and placing the array on a board. CONSTITUTION:A board 2 is previously coated with an adhesive layer 4 about 40-50mum, and a position on the board is maintained constant on a second reference surface 30. The position of an image element array 6a placed immediately before is recognized by position recognition means 26. A table 10 is moved after the recognition of the position to align a collet 8 with the board 2. Then, the collet 8 is moved down at a predetermined stroke by pneumatic pressure, and an image element array 6 is secured with the layer 4. A width Z1 from a first reference surface 22 to the array 6 is decided by the surface 22 and the stroke, being constant. A height Z2 from the board to the surface of the array 6 is constant since the Z1 is constant and the position on the board is constant. |
