PURPOSE:To prevent ink leakage from an air ventilating hole and also to prevent drying of ink by a method wherein a sealing member that seals up a discharge part for the ink and the air ventilating hole, and a pressing member that presses the sealing member to the discharge part are provided, and the ink is made to contain acid carbon black and specified water soluble resin in its water base liquid medium. CONSTITUTION:A recording head is made airtight by sealing up an ink discharge part 41 and an air ventilating hole 1401 of an ink tank IT with a sealing member 3 to which a pressing member 4 is combined, and thereby evaporation of the ink from the ink discharge part 41 and leakage of the ink from the recording head can be prevented without fail. As an elastic body (an ink absorbing body) 6 attached to a cap 4 as the pressing member is positioned firm by means of arms 5, 5 and a positioning member 7 within a position for clasping a base plate 10, an opening S is effectively sealed up. By using acid carbon black for water base pigment ink and by making water soluble resin to be contained in the ink as dispersing agent in 3,000-30,000 molecular weight by weight average, a recording liquid with high printing density and excellent, stabilized dispersibility and yet being less dryable can be produced. |
