摘要 PURPOSE:To enhance the chemical formation efficiency for an electrode plate of a battery, in particular a pos. electrode, without dropping the lifetime characteristics of the battery by providing a certain added amount of an electron conductive powder at least on one side. CONSTITUTION:A chemical formation propagates not only around a lattice 1 but at a layer on the electrode plate surface where an electron conductive powder is added. Thus the chemical formation of paste 2 is made effectively from these two parts, and also the facial portion which is likely to be left for chemical formation at the final stage, is chemical formed in the initial stage, so that Pb sulfate in white color will scarcely remain. Because addition of the electron conductive powder such as carbon is made only to the surface layer of the electrode plate, easy-to-separate property of crystal grains of Pb dioxide resulting from this adding will affect only the surface layer, and the battery performance can hold free from ill influence. Thereby the chemical formation efficiency of the electrode plate, in particular pos. electrode, is enhanced without bringing about drop in the lifetime characteristics of the battery.
