PURPOSE:To improve contrast in a visual sense and to make a reversible recording material easily observed by arranging a light emitting element on the back surface of the material, and disposing a coloring filter for transmitting or passing a light in a predetermined direction therebetween. CONSTITUTION:A recording material 1 is so designed that a light from a back light 3 is applied to a recording material 1 through a filter 2 and the light 3 cannot be directly observed from an observing position E through the material 1. That is, the light from the light 3 is projected in a direction toward eyes by the filter 2, the light introduced to the transparent part T of the material is not scattered, but transmitted as it is, and a light introduced into a white suspension part W is scattered. Accordingly, if the material 1 is observed from the position E where the light of the light 3 of the material 1 side is not directly introduced to the eyes, the color of the material of the filter 2 is observed as it is from the part T of the material, while the light from the light 3 is scattered at the part W of the material. As a result, whiteness is amplified, and an image having high contrast is obtained. |
