The appts consists of a mixing chamber (2), mixing tool (19) mounted on a central shaft (3). The shaft, motor driven (8), is linked by a demountable coupling to a screw pump (10). The mortar ingredients are loaded by the hopper (5), and the mixed mortar is pumped out at the opening (17). To ensure a uniformity of mix, the central shaft is inclined 25 to 30 deg from the vertical. USE - Mortar mixing appts is suitable for the prodn. of fine mortars as used in stone renovation work.
