PURPOSE:To easily specify a component kind by employing image data on the cylindrical component as a temporary outward shape and multiplying it by a correction coefficient based upon a previously calculated angle of light incidence, and thus making a comparison by a matching method. CONSTITUTION:The correction coefficient alpha found from the theta determined by the position of a ring-shaped lighting device is inputted to a recognition device 6 in advance and component size W' is multiplied by the correction coefficient alphafor correction, thereby recognizing the real shape of the cylindrical component. Further, this shape recognition data and the shape data on the component stored previously in the recognition device 6 are compared directly with each other by the matching method to specify the component kind. |
