Making soldered connection between component and PCB - locating discs on terminal pins to improve contact with soldering pads of flexible board

A flexible circuit board (15) has conductor tracks formed between foils. The tracks have formed eye pads that provide the location for the pins (13) of mounted components. For a vehicle braking system the magnetic valves (12) used have pairs of connecting pins. - Soldered connections are made using discs (25) which are a press-fit onto the pins. These provide an increased area for forming the soldered joint (31).
