An extractor used to release a multiple electrical connector from the socket has a pair of claw elements (17) that fit on the underside of the device. A central guide (4) is positioned against the top surface. Located at the centre is a leadscrew (23) rotated by hand to move axially within a block (2). Links (26) connect with the side elements (6) to which the claws are coupled via spring (13) elements. As the screw rotates the claws pull the unit free of the socket. ADVANTAGE - Simple to operate over universal range of applications.
