摘要

The joint between two metal flanges at different operational temp. is fitted with agasket formed from three layers of different materials. The lower temp. flange on the side of the gasket has a layer (8) of elastomeric material. On the side of the higher temp. flange the gasket has a laminated layer (9) of fibrous, inorganic, thermally insulating material. Between the layers there is a layer of aluminium foil (7), or a layer of steel sheet with the high temp. side coated with aluminium.
