摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To enhance the discharge characteristics for low temp discharging, high rate discharging, etc., by sealing a battery concerned, keeping a pos. and a neg. electrode charged amount at or above 50% of the chargeable capacity of the pos. electrode, and performing discharge in the temp. atmosphere ranging 30-80 deg.C. CONSTITUTION:In a hydrogen storage alloy, the surface is oxidated in the manufacturing process incl. for ex. crushing, electrode fabrication, etc., to cause drop of the activeness of electrode, which in turn drops the charge/discharge efficiency and the consuming efficiency of the oxygen gas generated from the pos. electrode at the time of being fully charged. If discharge is made, however, in a temp. atmosphere ranging 30-80 deg.C under the condition where the pos. and neg. electrodes carry a charged amount of over 50% of the chargeable capacity of the pos. electrode, oxidated film on the surface of alloy can be destroyed partially. This causes exposure of active section inside of the alloy and also enlarges the reaction surface area to lead to enhanced activeness, and thereby the charging efficiency is enhanced, which enables low temp. discharging and high rate discharging.</p>
