A mechanical automatic gearing for a separating, reforming or gripping tool provides speedier operation and greater power development for carrying out the functions of which the tool is capable, and without switching or adjustment processes. It comprises a frame (1), an activating lever (2) and a power transfer member (3) with or without two link rods (24,25), a curved disc (4) or a notched disc. The lever (2) pivoted (10) at one end on the frame (1) where it contacts (11) the curved disc (4), and through a spring (6) is brought into contact with either the transfer member (3), we which is pivoted (12) on the frame (1), or a link rod.
