X=ray tube system - has heater for cathode contg. lanthanum material as electron emitter
摘要
An X-ray tube has a cathode (2) and anode (3) within a vacuum chamber (4). The cathode contains an electron emitting material and is heated by a power stage (5). The stage is coupled to the cathode by a pair of conductors. An alternative version has a number of cathode elements arranged in parallel. Typically, the cathodes are produced by materials based upon the rare earth metals, such as La and Pt. ADVANTAGE - High electron emission rate.
