PURPOSE:To manufacture the title permanent magnet having high performance and high preventive effect at low cost by a method wherein a rare earth element-transition metallic element-group IIIb element base alloy in specific oxygen content and porosity is properly hot-processed and then the magnet surface is coated with a corrosion resistant resin layer in specific film thickness. CONSTITUTION:Within a magnetic anisotropic permanent magnet composed of the basic compoents comprising the atomic percentage 12-25% of exceeding at least one of rare earth element selected out of Pr, Nd, Dy, Ce, La, Y, Tb, 65-85% of exceeding at leat one of transition metals selected out of Fe, Co, Cu, Ag, Au, Ni, Zn, 3-10% of exceeding at least one of group IIIb elements selected out of B, Ga, Al, the oxygen content shall not exceed 1500ppm in wt.%. Besides, the porosity of the magnet shall not exceed 2%. Furthermore, the magnet surface is coated with one of corrosion resistant resin layer selected out of epoxy resin, phenol resin, thermo-setting acryl resin, urethan resin, melamine resin, vinyl resin and silicon resin in film thickness of 1-80mum. |
