PURPOSE:To grind a pure titanium basement in a very short time by using a resinaceous, porous and elastic griding stone composed of abrasive grains from 240 to 6000 number size. So as to grind the basement under bearing pressure larger than 150g/cm<2> during work. CONSTITUTION:A pure titanium basement which contains hydrogen of less than 0.01wt.%, oxgen of less than 0.05wt.%, nitrogen of less than 0.05wt.%, iron of less than 0.1wt.% and others as impurity, is subjected to grinding process. In this case, a resinoceous, porous and elastic grinding stone, composed of abrasive grains from 240 to 6000k number size, is used and the basement is ground under bearing pressure larger than 150g/cm<2> during work. |
