PURPOSE:To reduce the contact resistance between the following and decrease an equivalent series resistance, by spreading conducting adhesive agent at least between a conducting separator and the bottom surface of a sheathing case or between the conducting separator and a second lead electrode plate. CONSTITUTION:An electric double layer capacitor is obtained as follows; a laminated layer body 5 of an electric double layer capacitor element is accommodated in a sheathing case 4, and cased with an assembly electrode wherein a first lead electrode plate 1 and a second lead electrode plate 2 having lead terminals are arranged on the upper and the lower surfaces of an insulating case 3. Conducting adhesive agent 6 is arranged at least between the sheathing case 4 and the laminated layer body 5 or between the second lead electrode plate 2 and the laminated layer body 5. Thereby the contact resistance between a conducting separator 5 and the sheathing case 4 or between the conducting separator 5 and the second lead electrode 2 is reduced, and an equivalent series resistance can be reduced. |
