PURPOSE:To remarkably improve battery characteristics such as cycle characteristics by solving metals different from a base metal in the base metal constituting a negative electrode. CONSTITUTION:In a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery constituted of a negative electrode 2 made of a lithium alloy alloyed with a base metal and lithium, a positive electrode 1 and a separator 3 inserted between the positive electrode l and the negative electrode 2, at least one or more kinds of metals different from a base metal are solved in the base metal. Manganese, chromium, iron, silicon, tungsten, molybdenum, cobalt, zirconium, magnesium, titanium, and vanadium are used for the solved metals. If the solved quantity of different metals is less than 0.01wt.%, the solved effect is not thoroughly exerted, if it exceeds 10wt.%, the base metal is made fragile. The solved quantity of different metals must be set within the range 0.01-10wt.%. |
