An outrigger for suspending scaffolding (24) alongside a building (14) is composed of an elongated beam (26) and a pair of spaced apart A-frame supports (30, 32) for the beam (26). Each A-frame support (30, 32) includes a main wheel (104) and a caster wheel (90) which is used for moving the outrigger. Each A-frame (30, 32) includes a screw jack adjacent the caster usable for raising both the main wheel (104) and a caster wheel (90) up off the support surface, and at the same time placing a pair of spaced apart support feet (100, 108) in contact with the support surface. The outrigger can be moved by a single person and can be rotated in position about the center of the beam (26). |
