PURPOSE:To realize a microphone unit able to collect sound with excellent S/N by using a non-directional microphone and a unidirectional microphone so as to reduce noise, vibration and wind noise in the vicinity of the microphone units. CONSTITUTION:A non-directional microphone unit 12 and a unidirectional microphone unit 13 are arranged while its major axis is directed to a video camera main body 11 so that both the microphone units are place in parallel or the major axes of both units are on a line, and after an output signal of the unidirectional microphone unit 13 passes through an equalizer 14, the signals of both units are subtracted when they are of the same polarity and added when they are of the different polarity. Through the configuration above, the microphone unit has a unidirectivity with respect to sound sources close to each other. Thus, it is possible to reduce noise and wind noise in the vicinity of both the microphone units and sound collection with excellent S/N is attained. |
