PURPOSE:To automatically control the musical interval of a taped accompaniment corresponding to the musical interval of a singer by automatically controlling the interval of played music based on pitch difference between the detected pitch of a played sound and a reproduced pitch from a recording medium. CONSTITUTION:For the pitch information of a vocal melody, a pitch difference detection circuit 17 detects difference from pitch information detected by a pitch detection circuit 18. The circuit 18 outputs the output data of an A/D converter 18b as information showing the pitch of the vocal melody to be inputted to a microphone 12. The difference detected by the circuit 17 expresses the difference between the fundamental pitch of the vocal melody and the pitch of the vocal melody of the singer. For this pitch difference information, an average value is calculated by an arithmetic circuit 20, and this average value becomes a control input to decide the shift amount of the musical interval in a musical interval control circuit 11. The circuit 11 automatically controls the musical interval of the taped accompaniment only for the shift amount corresponding to the control input. |
