PURPOSE:To attain optical transmission through the use of a portable terminal equipment whose power supply has not margin by sending a continuous light from a 1st transmitter and allowing a 2nd transmitter to send an optical signal while modulating the consecutive light from the 1st transmitter. CONSTITUTION:A portable terminal equipment A being the 2nd transmitter is provided with a light emitting diode 21 starting an opposite peripheral device B being the 1st transmitter, an optical modulation element 22 modulating a consecutive light L1 from the opposite peripheral device B to send its own optical signal L2 to the opposite peripheral device B, and a photodiode 23 receiving an optical signal L3 from the opposite peripheral device B. Then the 1st transmitter B sends the consecutive light L1 to the 2nd transmitter A via an optical cable 31 and the 2nd transmitter A modulates the consecutive light from the 1st transmitter B to send the optical signal L2. Thus, the 2nd transmitter A sends the optical signal L2 by the modulation power only and when the 2nd transmitter A is used as a portable terminal equipment, the portable terminal equipment having no power supply margin is used to execute optical transmission. |
