PURPOSE:To perform automatic reduction transmission without preparing page memory by including a data thinning means which transfers image data to a memory block other than the one on which the image data is written while thinning the data from the memory block on which the image data is written, and a transmission means which transmits thinned data from the memory block in which the thinned data is stored. CONSTITUTION:An original is converted to an electrical signal by a reading part 32 including the linear CCD sensor 6 of an original reading part 1. Thence, prescribed binarization processing (dither processing, etc.,) is performed, and the signal is converted to a binary time series signal. Converted data is stored in buffer memory 40 transiently. Thence, the data readout of the buffer memory is encoded by systems of MH, MR, etc., by a compression part 33. Then, an encoded signal is accumulated in code memory 34. Connection between a callee side is performed by a transmission control part 35, and the signal of the code memory 34 is sent to a line with a prescribed procedure. An extension part 37 compounds the signal of the code memory 34, and converts it to a signal outputtable from a recording part 38. |
