PURPOSE:To prepare a synthetic lubricant oil excellent in electrical insulating property, abrasion resistance and water-proofness for use in refrigerators using a hydrofluorocarbon by using as a main ingredient a carbonic ester of which alcohol components are a monohydric alcohol, a dihydric alcohol and a specified compd. CONSTITUTION:A synthetic lubricant oil for refrigerator is obtd. by using as a main ingredient a carbonic ester prepd. by the transesterification between diethyl carbonate and three alcohol components. The 1st alcohol is a monohydric alcohol (e.g. 2-methyl-1-pentanol); the 2nd alcohol is a diydric alcohol (e.g. neopentyl glycol); and the 3rd alcohol is a 5C-7C neopentyl type polyol having 3-4 OH groups or its dimer or trimer (e.g. trimethylolpropane). |
