PURPOSE:To increase the transfer speed and to reduce noises by employing optical transmission instead of electric transmission. CONSTITUTION:According to the reference signal supplied from a synchronizing signal generator 4, voltage applying device 6 and 7 apply voltages for varying an electric field continuously, and the light refractive indexes of light reflecting units 1 and 2 also vary continuously in order according to the reference signal. Consequently, a switching function for selecting one light data among light parallel data or serial data which are already inputted is provided. Plural parallel data which are inputted from branch transmission lines (a) - (d) are divided with time and multiplexed continuously to a trunk transmission line 5, and time-divided multiplexed serial data transferred from the trunk transmission line 5 is reconverted into parallel data, which are sent out to branch transmission lines (e) - (f). Consequently, the transfer speed is increased and noises are reducible. |
