UNBURNED REFRACTORY FOR MOLTEN STEEL VESSEL

摘要

PURPOSE:To improve the spalling resistance of unburned refractories for a molten steel vessel without deteriorating the corrosion resistance by adding org. fibers and a mixture of powdery pitch with phenol resin compatible with pitch to a compsn. consisting of magnesian starting material and carbon material. CONSTITUTION:Org. fibers are added to a compsn. consisting of 70-97 wt.% magnesian starting material and 3-30 wt.% carbon material by 0.1-3 pts. wt. per 100 pts. wt. of the compsn. Powdery pitch is mixed with phenol resin compatible with pitch in (1:1)-(5:1) ratio and this mixture is further added to the compsn. by 2-5 pts. wt. to obtain unburned refractories for a molten steel vessel.
