PURPOSE:To execute an intermittent high speed copy, and to execute an efficient copy work by a copying machine being small in size and low in cost by counting the number of sheets of a continuous scan executed at a high speed, so that the high speed continuous copy is executed only within the limited number of sheets, and thereafter, it is switched automatically to a low speed size. CONSTITUTION:When the copying machine is operated continuously by a prescribed high speed mode, the in-machine temperature of the copying machine rises, and a whole control unit 42 discriminates whether the copy operation can be executed continuously at a set copy speed or not, based on speed setting information by an operating unit 41 and continuous copy sheet number information by an internal counter, so that the rise of the in-machine temperature becomes a prescribed range, and when the result of its discrimination becomes a fact that the continuous operation cannot be executed, a moving speed control signal and a process control signal for switching the copy speed to a low speed side are generated, and the copy speed is switched to a low speed side and controlled. |
