PURPOSE:To diversify displaying by including plural color selecting members and display electrodes in a 1st liquid crystal element and including transparent electrodes in a 2nd liquid crystal element. CONSTITUTION:The liquid crystal element 22 for color display have a pair of transparent substrates 24a, 24b and a color filter layer 25 is provided over nearly the entire part of one surface of the transparent substrate 24a. Plural segment electrodes 26 having light transparency are formed on the color filter layer 25. Further, an oriented film 27a is formed on the color filter layer 25 formed with the segment electrodes 26. The liquid crystal element 23 for compensation has transparent substrates 31a, 31b and the transparent electrodes 37, 38 are formed on one surface of the transparent substrates 31a, 31b respectively over nearly the entire surface thereof. Further, oriented films 32a 32b are respectively formed on the transparent electrodes 37, 38. The normally black display and the normally white display are executed in this way and further, the display colors change if the display mode is change and, therefore, the displaying is diversified. |
