PURPOSE:To suppress smells, formability, sludge generation, etc. by incorporating water, alkali and a specific org. solvent having the specific solubility in water into the above developer. CONSTITUTION:At least the water, alkali and the org. solvent having >=20wt.% solubility in water are incorporated into the developer used for the dampening waterless photosensitive planographic printing plate formed with the photosensitive layer which contains at least a hydroxyl group-contg. polymer and diazo resin. The developer contg. preferably >=30wt.% more preferably >=50wt.% water, preferably 0.5 to 30wt.%, more particularly preferably 2 to 20wt.% alkali and preferably <=20wt.%, more particularly preferably <=10wt.% org. solvent having >=20wt.% solubility in water is used. The smells are substantially eliminated and the generation of the sludge is lessened. The foaming is thus suppressed. |
