<p>PURPOSE:To attain check for an alarm input function and a dial function by allowing a terminal equipment to once interrupt a line prior transmission of a check reply signal, generating a test alarm signal from the terminal equipment, connecting the line to a center equipment and sending a check reply signal. CONSTITUTION:In the case of making check from a center equipment 1 to a terminal equipment 2, at first the center equipment 1 makes line connection to the terminal equipment 2 via a telephone exchange network 3 and the center equipment 1 sends a check inquiry signal to the terminal equipment 2. Then the terminal equipment 2 receiving the check inquiry signal interrupts a line once and generates a test alarm signal from the terminal equipment 2 to connect the line to the center equipment 1 by the similar processing to that at normal alarm input and sends a check reply signal to the center equipment 1 as an alarm notice. Thus, the center equipment 1 confirms it that the alarm input function of the terminal equipment and the dialing function to the telephone line are normal by receiving the reply signal within a prescribed time after the transmission of the check inquiry signal.</p> |
