PURPOSE:To automatically transfer mail to the new destination and to inform a destination change of a transmitting person by managing the destination change in a mail system. CONSTITUTION:When a transmitting person 6 transmits mail 8, a transmission managing part 5 in a mail system 9 receives the mail 8 and retrieves a destination managing list 1 and when the destination of the mail 8 is preserved, the mail 8 is transmitted to the destination. When the destination designated to the mail 8 is not existent in the managing list 1, a transfer part 3 and a destination change information part 4 are activated, a destination change managing list 2 is retrieved, and the mail is transmitted to the changed destination. Thus, the transmitting person 6 can recognize the new destination at the time of the next mail transmission, the mail can be transmitted to the new destination.
