PURPOSE:To prevent occurrence of slippage at the time of kick-down on a low frictional coefficient road surface by preventing gear change on the large side of transmission gear ratio in the case when the slippage of a driving wheel becomes large. CONSTITUTION:Control of transmission gear ratio is carried out in accordance with a target transmission gear ratio set under a normal drive condition where driving time rotational acceleration by a driving wheel rotational acceleration detection means A does not exceed a specific rotational acceleration and under a drive condition of an engine load and a car speed. When the driving wheel rotational acceleration exceeds the specific rotational acceleration (that is, in the slip state), a gear change control means B works and prevents gear change to the large side of transmission gear ratio. Accordingly, it is possible to prevent a driving force of the driving wheel from becoming larger and to prevent occurrence of slippage. |
