<p>PURPOSE:To prevent occurrence of seizure, abrasion and variations in rotation of the spiral protrusions by cutting the outer curved surface of a protrusion on a drive scroll and the inner curved surface of a protrusion on a driven scroll by a small thickness over a substantially overall spiral periphery thereof. CONSTITUTION:A scroll fluid machine incorporates drive and driven scrolls 1, 2 respectively having spiral protrusions 1a, 2a which are formed on flat plates, and adapted to autororate respectively about different axes. In this arrangement, either of the spiral protrusions 1a, 2a, for example, the protrusion 2a of the driven scroll 2 is cut at its inner curved surface over a substantially overall spiral periphery thereof by a small thickness so as to obtain a curved surface 2f. Accordingly, when the drive scroll 1 is rotated in the direction of the arrow 12, the outer curved surface part 1e of the drive scroll protrusion 1a and the inner curved surface part 2f of the driven scroll protrusion 2a are rotated with a small radial gap delta therebetween corresponding to the cut-out thickness, thereby it is possible to prevent occurrence of seizure and abrasion of the spiral protrusions.</p> |
