<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a surface sheet whose opening is not easily blocked by providing on the reverse face of the surface sheet having openings therethrough a rib which projects near each opening, and making the rigidity of the main portion of the rib including its root larger than that of the sheet. CONSTITUTION:A surface sheet 1 has a thickness of (t) and comprises openings 2 each of which passes through the right and wrong sides 3, 4 thereof and a rib 5 which protrudes around each opening on the periphery of the reverse side and which forms a capillary 6. The rib 5 has a width of T as a whole including its root at which it projects from the reverse face 4 and the width T is larger than the thickness (t). The rigidity of the whole rib 5 including its root is thereby made higher than that of the surface sheet 1. A body fluid retained on the right side of the surface sheet is promptly absorbed from each opening 2 into an absorber provided on the reverse side. The rib 5 isolates the surface sheet 1 from the absorber, thereby restraining a rise in the amount of moisture that could be caused when the body fluid flows reversely to the surface sheet 1. Moreover, the rigidity of the main portion of the rib 5 including its root is made higher than that of the surface sheet 1 whereby each opening 2 is hard to be blocked.</p> |
