PURPOSE:To miniaturize an ink jet recording device and shorten a period of time until a recording head is put into a recordable condition by providing a frame part mounted to a holding member for holding the recording head and extended toward a conveyer face while surrounding the outlet port of the recording head, and also a moving means for allowing the frame part and the conveyer face to be closely contacted with and separated from each other. CONSTITUTION:Each top end wherein an outlet port is formed is inserted into each hole of a holding member 2, and the circumference of the top end and the hole 2a are respectively held in a sealed state by the holding member 2 via a packing. The holding member 2 is mounted to a support member 4a of a moving means 4. When a pinion 4c is rotated in either the forward or reverse direction by the driving force of a drive motor, the support member 4a moves reciprocatingly in a substantially vertical direction with respect to a conveyer face, whereby the moving means 4 allows the abutment face 3a of a frame part 3 and the conveyer face of a conveyer belt 11 to be closely contacted with and separated from each other. |
