PURPOSE:To obtain a thermal recording material having extremely high color forming sensitivity and excellent in whiteness, light fastness humidity resistance and plasticizer resistance by using a sensitizer composed of a specific compound. CONSTITUTION:In a thermal recording material wherein arm electron donating colorless color former 3 and an electron acceptive developer 4 forming a color in a thermally molten state are provided on a support, a sensitizer represented by formula (I) [wherein Z1 and Z2 are an -R group wherein R is a 6 or less C hydrocarbon group, an -OR group, a -COR group, a halogen atom or a CN group and m and n are an integer of 0, 1 or 2] is contained. As an embodiment of the compound represented by the formula (I), a diphenyldiacetylene compound, a dimethylphenyldiacetylene compound and a dimethoxydiphenyldiacetylene compound are cited. |
