PURPOSE:To allow the use of optimum nozzle heads according to a change in machining conditions by automatically exchanging a proper number of the nozzle heads which have condenser lenses of different focal lengths or the nozzle heads which vary in focal positions on the laser beam machining head. CONSTITUTION:The plural nozzle heads having the condenser lenses of the different focal lengths or the nozzle heads 25 which vary in the focal positions are previously housed in a housing part 35. The holder 51B of an exchanging device 37 takes out the desired nozzle head 25. The nozzle head is moved to the machining head 3 and the nozzle head 25 which is mounted on the machining head 3 by the holder 51A is held and removed. The nozzle head held on the holder 51B is thereafter mounted to the laser beam machining head 3. Since the plural nozzle heads 25 can be automatically exchanged, the use of the optimum nozzle head 25 is possible in correspondence to a change in the thickness of the work and a change in machining conditions, such as cutting, welding and thermal machining. |
