<p>A device for operating a pivotable closing element such as a window or pivotable roof of a vehicle includes a rod pivoting at one end on said sealing element while the other end is connected to a rotatable element (3) supporting one end of a cable (1) which is arranged to be wound onto and off at least a portion of said rotatable element (3), its other end being ridigly connected to a drive unit (6). The connection between the rod and the rotatable element (3) is formed by a bevel gear (4) engaging a toothed segment (5) of said rotatable element (3). The axis of said bevel gear (4) is substantially orthogonal to the rotational axis of said rotatable element (3), and the drive unit consists of a linear pneumatic actuator (6) mounted on a support which is rigidly fastened to said rotatable element (3).</p> |
