A reflector (1) for direct, central measurement of angle and distance in a single measurement process consists of a prism with a housing. A mirror (2) in a housing (4) is mounted vertically above and at a fixed distance from the reflector which is mounted rigidly in a frame (3) to which the housing is attached. The mirror is at 45 deg. to the vertical and can be tilted and displaced with interdependence of these motions. A restraining device (5a) or a handle (5b) is at the same distance (X) from the reflector's centre in vertical plane as the mirror axis is in the vertical plane when in its starting position. USE/ADVANTAGE - For measurement on buildings, reflector enables angle and distance to be measured in single process without requiring correction.
