<p>PURPOSE:To simplify the size selection of a bone head ball by changing a position of a setting groove of a fitting/installing cylinder against a detaining pin 22 with regard to a trial bone head ball inserted into an insertion lever once. CONSTITUTION:First of all, a bone head of acetabulum B is cut, and a hole for an outer cup is opened. A bone marrow cavity is opened in a thighbone by a rasp 15, and in a state that the rasp 15 is inserted into the bone marrow cavity concerned, a trial bone head ball 28 is inserted into an insertion lever 16 of the rasp 15 through a fitting/installing cylinder 25, and in a state that a trial ball outer part 28' is attached again to the trial bone head ball concerned 28, it is adjusted, and from an interval between the thighbone A and the acetabulum B, an optimal position of a setting groove of the bone head ball is determined. Subsequently, a prescribed stem is fitted and installed in the bone marrow cavity, the bone head ball, a bearing and an outer cup are installed in the stem concerned, fitted and installed in a hole of the acetabulum B and the surgical operation is finished.</p> |
