PURPOSE:To correct the reading error of each color component by correcting the read result of each corrected object area by calculating a filter to cancel the deterioration of a read-out picture based on a point spread function showing the deterioration of the read-out picture by a reading means in respect of each of plural corrected object areas. CONSTITUTION:A line on an original 101 is divided into plural corrected object areas, and the filter to cancel the deterioration of the read-out picture by the reading means 110 is calculated in accordance with each of these corrected object areas. Then, the read result of each color component is corrected by executing the convolution integral of the read result of each color component by the reading means 110 and the corresponding filter. Information related to the error due to all factors caused by reading the picture of the corresponding corrected object area by the reading means 110 is included in the point spread function corresponding to each corrected objec area. Thus, the reading error of each color component can be corrected as considering various factors of the error. |
